Students involved in music programs are better at languages, have an easier time learning to read, show an improved social climate, show more enjoyment in school, and have a lower level of stress than non- music students.  These students are more likely to excel in all of their studies, work better in teams, have enhanced critical thinking skills, stay in school and pursue further education. The 1812 Overture, written by Peter CHY-KOV-SKI (Tchaikovsky), to commemorate Russia's battle against Napoleon, used real life cannons and is often accompanied by fireworks.?

ATTENTION ALL SENIORS:  Prom tickets will be on sale April 11, 13 and 19thAll school fees must be paid in order to purchase tickets.  Please check your current fees in PowerSchool, if you have any questions, see Mrs. Maddocks in the student office.

Attention Seniors:  Josten's will be here on Thursday, April 13 to distribute cap and gowns.  All school fees must be paid to receive your cap and gown.

This Friday our school is celebrating Let it Go Day. The let it go campaign began with a student’s vision that for one day we might let go of past grievances and promote a feeling of kindness and forgiveness among all people. Please wear green and fun socks this Friday, March 24th in the spirit of growth and new beginnings. Stop by the pit during lunches to help build our Let it Go chain.

Attention to all senior males: Are you the charming type? Do you consider yourself a gentleman? Do your peers find you... irresistible? If so, then now is your time to shine! On May 13th OFHS will be holding the annual Mr. Irresistible pageant competition for any Senior guy willing to strut their stuff. Contestants will be required to answer questions about themselves, show off their school spirit in Bulldog Apparel, and display a special talent of theirs. At the end of the night, the winner will be crowned "Mr. Irresistible." All proceeds go towards next year's prom. If interested contact Mrs. Gregg in Science Room B-19

ATTENTION ALL PROSPECTIVE HIGH SCHOOL CHEERLEADERS:

Tryouts to be a 2017-18 OFHS cheerleader will be held on Saturday, April 8 at the high school.  They tryout material will be taught at a clinic on Monday, April 3rd
