Kindergarten Orientation is scheduled for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday August 17, 18, and 19 from 8:00-10:30 a.m. and 12:00-2:30 p.m. - depending on your child's teacher assignment. Letters with class placements went out the week of July 17th to ECC families. Reminder cards will also be sent in early August. It is important that kindergarten students and their parent/guardian attend orientation with their assigned classes. Parents/guardians are encouraged to find childcare for siblings in order to give their full attention to the orientation program.

Wednesday, Aug. 17: Tami Doyle 8:00-10:30 AM, Andrea Heinrich 12:00-2:30 PM
Thursday, Aug. 18: Patty Michaels’ & Jessica Hubbard’s AM classes 8:00-10:30 AM; their PM classes 12:00-2:30 PM
Friday, Aug.19: Angela McNeeley & Lauri Roberto 8:00-10:30 AM; Karen Strawser 12:00-2:30 PM
The first official day of kindergarten will be Monday, August 22. Full-day hours will be from 7:55-2:25. AM classes will run from 7:55-10:40. PM classes will run from 11:40-2:25. We are still accepting registrations. Click on the "New Student Registration" Quick Link on the left-hand side of the website to begin the registration process.
Preschool Orientation is scheduled for Monday, August 22. AM students should attend from 9:00-10:00 a.m, and PM students should attend from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Megan Kay’s students should all attend the morning session. A letter went out in June that included teachers’ names.
Please note that the ECC preschool program is not a community-based preschool program, and is not currently accepting registrations for typically devloping peers. A small group of typical peers are selected for each upcoming school year during a process held the previous spring. There are currently no spaces available for typical peers for the 2016-2017 school year. However, any parent with concerns about their child’s development is encouraged to contact ECC Principal Melinda Brunner, either via email or by phone (440 427-6361) after August 2, to discuss potential enrollment in the special needs preschool program.
AM preschool runs from 8:05-10:35 a.m. PM preschool runs from 11:40-2:10 p.m. Preschool teachers will be in touch with parents before the start of school to schedule home visits. The first day of preschool for kids with IEPs is August 23. The first day of preschool for our typically developing peers is August 30.
