  • No tax on investment income, pensions, or social security
  • $20.83/month per $50,000 annual income
  • Provides residents with a “safety net” - if your income goes down, so do your school taxes
  • Not related to RITA taxes- all people who reside within the school district and have an earned income will pay this tax

Issue 132: 4.9 Mill Property Tax 

  • Generates $2.1 million revenue annually
  • Tax based on property valuation
  • First request for operating funds since 1999
  • $12.51/month on $100,000 home
  • Provides a consistent stream of revenue

3,714 (34%) FOR
7,224 (66%) AGAINST



The $4.4 million raised by these two levies will…..

  • Provide funds for transportation, textbooks, classroom support, energy expenses and utility bills
  • Reduce class sizes
  • Attract and retain high caliber teachers needed to support instructional excellence 
  • Prevent reductions in current programs and services
