DISTRICT OUTLINES TRANSPORTATION CHANGES FOR 2009-2010 SCHOOL YEAR

Due to the failure of two operating levies (in November 2008 and February 2009), Olmsted Falls School District is currently in the process of implementing an Educational Reduction Plan in order to cut costs across the District.

Transportation services will be reduced effective with the start of the 2009-2010 school year as part of the overall Educational Reduction Plan. The following changes in transportation services will be implemented with the start of the coming school year:

  1. Elimination of High School Busing
  2. Expansion of Neighborhood Bus Stops
  3. Limitation of Alternate Transportation Request
The detailed information presented at the Transportation Information Meeting on Saturday, May 9th, along with revised Alternate Transportation Forms reflecting the new limitations, are available for download on the Bus Routes page of this website.

Important Note:  The Olmsted Falls School District reserves the right to suspend all requests for Alternate Transportation service at any time due to financial reasons. Should the Olmsted Falls School District be forced to reduce busing to State minimum requirements prior to the end of the 2009-2010 school year, all Alternate Transportation requests would be suspended.
