Welcome to the Olmsted Falls City School District’s website! OFCS is committed to providing our students with a comprehensive “Triple-A” experience, which develops and fosters their Academic, Artistic and Athletic growth. We believe in and take great pride in the academic and extra-curricular performances of our students. We are committed to the development of the whole child. We believe the essential question is:  In what ways can we best prepare our students to be leaders for a future that is fast-changing, digital, and global? 

Like any highly effective organization we need to be visionary and work more efficiently. Our District's Strategic Plan continues to guide our work and decision-making. The purpose of the Strategic Plan is to more clearly define the mission, strategies and action steps the district will take over the next three to five years. We believe that we will need to more clearly define multiple pathways for student success based on the local, regional and national markets. Further, we are even more committed to determining student potential in a more robust manner so that we can align career pathways and student interests. A career pathway shouldn’t reveal itself after graduation. Instead, we want to begin the exploration at younger grades so that students can explore what interests them and what interests align with their skills.

We recognize and appreciate our community’s trust in us and do not take it for granted. There is a political climate that often does not look favorably upon public education and essentially treats all school organizations the same…we are different. We are a living example that publically funded education can and does work. We will continue to explore more efficient ways to provide a high quality and valued student experience within a limited amount of resources.

To that end, we are committed to providing our students with the proper facilities, learning tools and experiences to empower them to make an impact on society. Our high school facility has been overcrowded for over a decade and approximately 1,000 students regularly brave the rain, snow and ice each day as they take classes in modular classrooms. Along with obvious safety and security risks, this presents instructional equity issues. We want to bring all of our high school students under one instructional room and will be continuing discussions on how to make this happen.
