Olmsted Falls Parents and Staff we need your help! Take a moment and ask yourselves the following questions:
*Do you know a PTA volunteer or school staff member who has been an outstanding part of your child’s school year so far?
*Would you like the opportunity to recognize the contributions and special qualities of one of your child’s teachers or a fellow educator?
Every year, Ohio PTA presents awards to educators and volunteers/staff who show outstanding and remarkable support of youth. The Outstanding District Educator Award is presented to a certified educator who is a PTA member and is nominated by fellow staff or by a parent in the school district. The Helping Hands Award is given to an outstanding volunteer or school district staff member (non-certified educator) who is a PTA member, nominated by fellow staff or parent(s).
The PTAs of Olmsted Falls High School, Middle School and Intermediate School are asking staff and parents to nominate (through written recommendation) individuals they feel should be recognized for their efforts in education for the 2011-2012 school year. Nomination forms for both awards are available in the school offices. You may also find the nomination forms by visiting www.ohiopta.org. Have your membership card ready and click HERE to be connected to the website. Use your membership card to login, and follow the links for “awards” and “Ohio District Educator” and “Helping Hands.” Please fill out the recommendation section of the nomination form and any other sections you can.
Unfortunately, time is short, and nominations are due to the PTA mailbox in the school offices by Monday, January 9th. Nominations may also be emailed to Ann Simon (simon@stratos.net) or Sandra Graham (slgwhit@cox.net).
