Welcome back to the 2010-2011 school year. Opening of school information is outlined below.
Beginning of School Information
Homerooms for 7th and 8th grade students will be posted on the front doors of the middle school at 4:00 PM on Friday, August 20. Sixth grade students will receive their homeroom assignments at Open House on Wednesday, August 18. On the first day of school, which is Tuesday, August 24, students must report to their homeroom when the entry bell rings at 8:20 AM. During homeroom, students will receive their schedule and locker assignment.
6th Grade Open House
There will be a 6th Grade Open House on Wednesday, August 18, 2010, from 5:30-7:00 PM. Please plan to attend the entire session as the format is structured. Students will need to report to the gymnasium and parents will report to the Cafetorium upon their arrival to the middle school. Students will receive their schedule at Open House. Students and parents will meet all of the 6th grade teachers, including physical education, band, choir, and Wheel teachers. PTA will be selling Bulldog spirit wear in the Cafetorium during Open House.
School Hours
Hours for middle school students will be from 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM. Students may enter the building at 7:50 AM to purchase breakfast in the Cafetorium. The entry bell rings at 8:20 AM and students must report to homeroom by 8:30 AM.
New 7th & 8th Grade Students Orientation
An orientation program will be held for new-to-the-district 7th and 8th grade students from 10:30-12:30 PM on Friday, August 20. Please meet in the Cafetorium. Students will receive their team assignment and supply list at this orientation program. Lunch will be provided. Family members are welcome to attend.
First Day of School
The first day of school will be on Tuesday, August 24. Students must report to their homeroom when the entry bell rings at 8:20 AM. During homeroom students will receive their schedule and locker assignment.
