Dear Bulldog Families,
I am emailing with just a brief update for our school community as we close out the week. We continue to make steady progress toward finalizing our reopening plans for Olmsted Falls City Schools. Multiple meetings of our various Reopening Committees were held throughout this week, and their work will be continuing into next week as well. I want to thank our teams of administrators, teachers, support staff and parents for the countless hours of dedicated and productive work. Last night, several draft components of the Reopening Plan - including choice options for families and potential schedules for remote learning across different grade levels - were shared with the Olmsted Falls Board of Education and discussed during their scheduled Work Session. Please note that no final plan was presented and no final decisions have been made.
Looking ahead to next week, our families can expect to have the complete Reopening Plan available for review by the end of the week, no later than Friday, August 14th. As with all updates, the Reopening Plan will be shared with you directly via email communication and will also be posted on the district website. Families will also be receiving further information and instructions on how to select the option preferred for their student(s), and the deadline by which that must occur.
I want to again thank you for your continuing feedback and support. I realize the frustration and stress being experienced by our school community and I thank you for your continuing patience.
Have a good weekend.
Dr. Jim Lloyd
Superintendent for the Olmsted Falls City School District
