IMPORTANT: OFCS Responsible Restart Plan

Dear Bulldog Families,

Thank you for your continuing patience and support as we have worked to finalize the Responsible Restart Plan for Olmsted Falls City Schools.  This email includes links to the overall OFCS Responsible Restart Plan, as well as individual links to sample building schedules for both Hybrid and Remote models.

Please take time to review the OFCS Responsible Restart Plan this weekend and be prepared to complete an individualized Restart Form for each student in your household next week.  On Monday, August 17th, each family’s primary email address will be sent a secure link (or links) to access an individualized form.  This form will allow you to indicate which pathway of instruction you will select for each student,  in-person (when possible) or a 100% remote learning model.  You will also provide information about technology (device/connectivity) and transportation preferences (if applicable).  The deadline to complete the individualized Restart Form for each student will be next Friday, August 21st.

To review sample HYBRID and REMOTE schedules by building, please click on the appropriate building below:

Early Childhood Center

Falls-Lenox Primary School

Olmsted Falls Intermediate School

Olmsted Falls Middle School

Olmsted Falls High School

We hope having access to these sample schedules, along with the Responsible Restart Plan, will provide you with the information you need to determine the pathway that best fits your student(s) and family.

As a reminder, per my email from earlier today, Olmsted Falls City School District is currently planning to start the 2020-2021 school year in full remote learning beginning Tuesday, September 8th.

We recognize that you may have questions regarding the Responsible Restart Plan and encourage you to submit any and all questions via email to info@ofcs.net.  We will be compiling a list of Frequently Asked Questions, which will be uploaded to our district website this Monday.

You are also welcome to reach out to your student’s building principal should you have specific questions about their sample schedule or any other building specific topic.

I again want to thank you for your patience and understanding during these challenging times.

Sincerely,

Jim
