Benefits-Based Accountability

Benefits-Based Accountability: Overview of Bulldog Benefits

Families move into the Olmsted Falls City School District because of the "Triple-A" experience that we provide. Our students are more than simple test scores and a Bulldog Education requires a comprehensive system to account for the experience. Our Benefits-Based Accountability system provides autonomy to our five school buildings to work with their primary stakeholders to celebrate those things done well, and identify those areas where we need to strategically grow.

We believe that creating a new accountability system that is grounded in the benefits that people want and that the district provides will lead to a more accurate and much more robust accounting of what we do compared to the method that currently exists.  Our new Benefits-Based Accountability system provides progress updates in language that parent and community members understand rather than "educator-speak."

Olmsted Falls City Schools will report on the benefits that each school will select from seven main categories:  Student Learning, Student Readiness, Engaged, Well-Rounded Students, Safety & Well-Being, Effective Adults, Community Connections, and Effective Systems. Each of our five school buildings engage with their primary stakeholders - parents, guardians, and students - to help determine the benefits their families expect and care about most.
